In October 2009 my daughter Scarlett was born 8 weeks premature, she weighed only 2lb 1oz and born with many complications as do many premature babies, she was cared for by the staff at the St George’s Neonatal Unit in London, we were fortunate enough to have Scarlett cared for by the nurses and specialist doctors on the unit.
As a result of the all the hard work and commitment of the staff on the unit I have targeted myself to raise £15,000.00 I have put together a sponsored group of cyclists that will be taking part in different events to help raise this target.
In 2011 we completed the London 2 Easbourne (70 miles) with the London 2 Brighton ride (56 miles) along with a number of additional smaller rides.
In 2012 the plans are to cycle London 2 Paris in June (300 miles with Skyline Overseas, London 2 Bristol (135 miles target to complete in 12hrs, completing independantly) and finally the Paris reunion London 2 Brighton in September (56 miles)
We are raising funds for First Touch the only dedicated charity for the St Georges Neonatal Unit in Tooting.
